H520 Hexacopter


The H520 is a hexacopter that has been developed for commercial use. H520 is the perfect solution for long flight times and a proven and robust technology in an all-in-one package. The large rotor blades with a quick release mechanism ensure it is quickly ready for action and that it produces a low level of noise when flying. It has an increased load capacity, creating the necessary conditions for additional sensor technology and improved camera technology. The drone’s colour is also eye-catching. All in all, it is a machine of uncompromising quality – perfect for everyday use. Waypoint technology, the ability to do 2D and 3D geomapping, and the Software Development Kit (SDK) make the H520 ideal for industrial applications.


Onboard safety

The innovative combination of Ultrasonic and Intel® RealSense™ technology (optionally available) as well as the ability to fly on five rotors and the redundant control signal over 2.4 and 5.8 GHz ensure the H520’s high level of safety. Thanks to high-capacity, high-voltage batteries, the H520 achieves a flight time of about half an hour, and in the worst-case scenario it can of course return safely using auto-landing. The reworked ST16 remote control with Intel Quadcore processor and low-glare 7” display provides reliable, intuitive control and is used for complete mission planning from the office or on the ground.

Various camera options

The H520 can be equipped with three different cameras. While the CGO3+ can record smooth UHD video footage, the CGO-ET thermal imaging and residual light camera measures the temperature in the image on a point-by-point basis and shows relative temperature differences. In addition, the residual light RGB camera has a 20-fold higher light sensitivity than the human eye and can capture outstanding images even in poor light conditions. The CGO-CI meets the demands of inspectors, experts, photographers and filmmakers. It achieves this with proven features such as the curved cable cam, panorama photo, timelapse and image sequences along with its 7-element glass lens with 50mm angle.


Intel® RealSense™ Technology

You can equip your H520 with Intel® RealSense™ technology. An R200 camera is used, which serves as the "eye" of the hexacopter. Thanks to 3D and depth measuring technology, the camera detects movements and distances and, in so doing, simulates the human eye. The drone has the ability to in effect act independently. It effortlessly avoids obstacles and selects the safest flight route. Furthermore, it stores flown-over positions for future reference. The Intel® RealSense™ technology “remembers” the location of an obstacle and knows to avoid it next time. As a result, collisions are better avoided. Specially developed for longer distances, the hexacopter can detect obstacles from further away.

ST16 Remote Control

The ST16 Ground Station is an integrated transmitter, receiver and Android platform that gives you full control over Typhoon H, allowing you to easily program autonomous flight and capture stunning photos and videos. The large 7-inch integrated screen displays real-time footage of your flight, eliminating the need for an external device. Real-time telemetry data made available on the screen during flight including flight mode, altitude, speed over ground, distance from home, camera status, GPS position coordinates, and aircraft battery status.

Waypoint flight mode

The programmable waypoints allow variable altitude approaches and different actions to take place at each key point. Geomapping enables reliable data on the landscape and buildings to be generated. In the waypoint mode, the pilot can mark points on a map between which the H520 will fly. When doing this, the altitude, camera alignment and tilt (including alignment on a POI) can be individually set for each point. The interpolation between the points can either take the form of a straight line or a curve, as is the case with the curve cable cam. The pilot is able to select the flight speed between the individual waypoints (up to 30 km/h). After the task has been completed, the H520 can land, return, wait or start from the beginning.
